The Dance Factory wants to communicated the following to our faculty, staff, and students:

We encourage everyone to employ basic health best practices, including washing your hands often and thoroughly.

How can I protect myself from respiratory infections?

  • Take care of yourself. Many of us try to ‘power through’ a cold or a fever.  The best thing you can do for yourself, your friends and fellow students is to take care of yourself if you aren’t feeling well.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash, and disinfect your hands.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. Our staff is committed to clearing our studio spaces frequently utilizing disinfectant wipes and disinfectant spray.  If you notice an area that needs cleaned or disinfected, please notify a staff member.

  • If you haven’t already been immunized against the flu please do so, you are at greater risk of getting the flu. Keeping yourself healthy will be important for your immune system.
